Foix Round Tray

Since its establishment in Italy in 1921, Alessi has produced its own tableware and home goods, working with the likes of Salvador Dal√¨, Ettore Sottsass, and Richard Sapper. Translating creative expression into practical, beautiful household items, the Italian brand‚Äôs iconic pieces balance design, aesthetics, and functionality, making the ordinary extraordinary.¬†Clotet, who is especially active in architecture, was fascinated by the playful crumpling of a tray in silver paper and reproduced the effect in a successful mini-series of trays and baskets.¬†The¬†Foix Round Tray uses¬†a complex technique of cold-pressing in a single operation to achieve its unique look.
