Founded in 2007, Indego Africa is a nonprofit social enterprise propelling the creation, growth, and sustainability of women-owned businesses in Africa. From the fine raffia weaving in their bags to the woodcarving in their homewares, the brand provides women and youth with the vocational skills, business know-how, and pipeline to global markets to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs. Made with locally-sourced beads stitched on a sisal base. Hand-beaded products are crafted with delicate detail by artisan partners in Rwanda who stitch glass and locally sourced beads using a needle and thread. Double handles are placed on each side for added functionality and style. Due to the handmade quality, some size and color variation may occur.
